Are you in your own way of thriving?

Thriving isn’t always easy, we live busy lives that leave us little room to do self work. However, self work is important and needs to be prioritised. Here are a few barriers to thriving, see if any of these sound familiar!

  1. Lack of clear goals and direction.

  2. Not prioritizing self-care and wellness.

  3. Negative self-talk and limiting beliefs.

  4. Failure to take action and make necessary changes.

  5. Surrounding yourself with negative or unsupportive people.

  6. Lack of accountability and personal responsibility.

  7. Procrastination and avoidance of difficult tasks.

  8. Focusing too much on external validation and approval.

It’s okay to resonate with these, majority of us would resonate with at least one of the above 8 points - and that’s OK!

One of the most common mistakes I see people make when it comes to improving their overall well-being is setting loose unachievable goals, enter the smart goal!

Ready to thrive? Make a smart goal!

To make a smart goal, follow these steps:

  1. Specific - Define your goal clearly and specifically.

  2. Measurable - Identify how you will measure your progress and success towards your goal.

  3. Achievable - Ensure your goal is realistic and attainable within a set timeframe.

  4. Relevant - Ensure your goal is aligned with your overall objectives and priorities.

  5. Time-bound - Set a deadline for achieving your goal.

Smart goals are best achieved when written down and looked at daily. Set your smart goal alongside an affirmation, something as simple as ‘I can do any task I set my mind to with ease and concentration.’

Working on any area of your life can take time, be patient with yourself, and find what needs to take priority for you!
